In the new trailer for the new installment of one of the best slasher films of all time Scream, Dewey (David Arquette) says “Something about this one just feels different” — and he’s right. And we are totally on board.
It’s been 10 years since the last installment of the franchise and 25 years since the late great Wes Craven and writer Kevin Williamson wowed us with the original. Directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin & Tyler Gillett, the fifth movie finds a new killer donning the Ghostface mask. They begin targeting a group of teenagers to resurrect secrets from the town’s deadly past.
Written by James Vanderbilt & Guy Busick, we see the return of Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and Arquette. As we see in the trailer it seems that Melissa Barrera might be the new main target. We also see Jenna Ortega get sliced and diced in the beginning. This could very well be a red herring because remember how Drew Barrymore was ripped open in the original?
